THE LEGEND

The labyrinth of Crete had no exits — only a monster at its heart and heroes who never returned. Then a princess handed Theseus a ball of thread. He is remembered as the one who slew the Minotaur; she is the reason he found his way back. Ariadne did not fight, did not raise a sword, did not enter the dark. She simply held one end of the thread — and from that moment, every step the hero took belonged to her. Desire is not the one who walks the labyrinth. Desire is the one holding the thread.

THE PIECE

A corset worked entirely in ivory — silk over a sculpted foundation, its whole surface traced with cords plaited by hand, strand by strand. The braids follow the seams the way the thread followed the labyrinth: one unbroken line from the neckline to the pointed waist, turning the very structure of the corset into its ornament. No colour, no stones — only texture, light and the artisan's hand, the most unforgiving form of couture, where nothing can hide an imperfect stitch. The matching hand-plaited choker completes the myth: the thread always begins at the neck.
