BRAISE — THE ORIGIN
Embers are what a fire becomes when it stops performing. The flame is gone, the surface has gone black, and the heat underneath is stronger than it was at the height of the burning.
The house takes the name for a piece built on that inversion. What you see first is the black — the dark tongues climbing the body, the feathers standing above them like smoke. What holds the piece together is underneath: gold ground, boned structure, front lacing that draws the whole thing closed by hand.
THE MOTIF
Black feathers rising over orange and gold, each tongue outlined so the edge stays sharp where the two colours meet.
How to Measure
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level across your back and parallel to the floor. The tape should be snug but not compressing—you should be able to slide two fingers underneath.
Natural Waist
Find the narrowest point of your torso—usually 2–3 cm above your navel. Bend gently to one side: the crease that forms is your natural waist. Wrap the tape around this point.
Hips
Stand with your feet together. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat—typically 18–23 cm below your natural waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
