Corset DATURA
THE ORIGIN
Datura opens at dusk. The flower stays shut through the whole of the day, unfolds as the light goes, holds through the night and closes again by morning — it is built for the hours nobody watches. Its scent carries furthest in the dark because the moths it waits for navigate by smell rather than sight. Everything about the plant is arranged around an audience that only arrives after everyone else has gone.
THE MOTIF
The flower is worked in velvet. Below the drapery gathers and falls away in a long silken tail. We kindly ask you to give us 3-4 weeks to tailor the corset special for you.
How to Measure
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level across your back and parallel to the floor. The tape should be snug but not compressing—you should be able to slide two fingers underneath.
Natural Waist
Find the narrowest point of your torso—usually 2–3 cm above your navel. Bend gently to one side: the crease that forms is your natural waist. Wrap the tape around this point.
Hips
Stand with your feet together. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat—typically 18–23 cm below your natural waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
