Corset with Cape LAISSE DE MER
THE ORIGIN
The Estran is the strip of coast the sea opens and closes twice a day. Not beach and not seabed, but the ground that is both — covered at high water, uncovered at low, and never the same shape twice.
Nothing decorative survives there. What remains on the sand at the end of a tide has been chosen by the water: shells, worn and emptied, arranged by a hand nobody watched.
THE MOTIF
Shells left on dark sand, opened like fans and worked in bead and thread. The embroidery runs from black at the bust to silver at the point, the way a shell holds its colour on the outside and its light within.
How to Measure
Bust
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level across your back and parallel to the floor. The tape should be snug but not compressing—you should be able to slide two fingers underneath.
Natural Waist
Find the narrowest point of your torso—usually 2–3 cm above your navel. Bend gently to one side: the crease that forms is your natural waist. Wrap the tape around this point.
Hips
Stand with your feet together. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips and seat—typically 18–23 cm below your natural waist. Keep the tape parallel to the floor.
