THE ORIGIN

The guinea fowl is an inconvenient bird. She screams, she sleeps in trees and after four thousand years she still refuses to be domesticated. People keep her not for her beauty but for the scandal: she raises the whole neighbourhood the moment a stranger comes near the house.

And this unmanageable bird carries the most disciplined feather on earth. A white dot, an even step, a thousand repetitions without a single error. No embroiderer alive could hold that line.

The house chose her. Not the peacock, not the ostrich, not the pheasant — the ones dragged down runways for centuries.

THE MOTIF

At the hips the piece splits into two sharp wings. The centre is compressed, the edges take off. No painted 3D flower equal to its neighbour. The feather repeats itself a thousand times without a flaw. Chaos and grid on the same surface.
